Jessica Williams Albany - 3/8/2010 Georgia E-mail	This past Thursday March 4, 2010 Artesian City Chp.#217 had a meeting where we balloted on new 4 candidates. All candidates were approved by investigation committee, but all candidates were denied because they were young ladies matriculating through college, and one sister had fear of them leaving our chapter to go to another. My name is Jessica Williams and I'm a college student and have been with Artesian City for almost 2 years now and have put just as much time and effort into The Order as anyone else there, if not more. I don't feel what was done by denying these young ladies because they were in college was right, because these young ladies paid their application fee turned it in well before the deadline and never had a chance of admission. I do not see why the chapter would not want to grow in members when on average we only have 8-10 member showing up at each meeting, and one of the young ladies not mention was bloodline. I feel sorry for the young ladies and all though I know application fee's are known refundable I feel like the chapter should give these young ladies their money back because the chapter themselves pit stipulation to be admitted that The Order of Eastern Stars does not have and that is not right and it is out of order and something should be done about it.
